Brett Kandt is Special Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Nevada Attorney General. He serves as senior policy adviser to the Attorney General, and as Director of both the Nevada Prosecution Advisory Council and the Nevada Technological Crime Advisory Board. He previously served as Senior Deputy Attorney General representing state constitutional officers, has international legal experience as former Assistant Attorney General for the Federated States of Micronesia, and has prior experience as a civil litigator in private practice. He serves on numerous statewide boards and task forces, including the Nevada Advisory Committee to Study Laws Concerning Sex Offender Registration, the Nevada Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team, and the Nevada Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission. He is chair of the Public Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Nevada and a member of the State Bar’s Standing Committee on Professional Responsibility and Ethics. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado (B.S.-Finance and J.D.).
